Josie’s extensive knowledge in the beauty industry spans over 15 years and her passion for a complete look has seen the introduction of a range of styling packages.  In using her expertise in the make-up industry, Josie has been advising clients for many years on their skin, tone and what colours work best to gain radiance for that special occasion.  In doing so, this has often extended to consulting on colour selections and garment styles.

We have all invested in garments that hang idle in our wardrobes and with a few simple tips that investment can be revisited and matched with a selections of choices from Josie’s guide to easy shopping.  Josie’s thought’s on styling:  When thinking of styling for women. I believe it is the fit of your clothing and dressing to your body shape that is the most important in looking great and feeling fabulous, and not your size that matters.

Wearing the right clothing for your body shape can make all the difference. It is about clothes that suit you rather then following the latest fad or fashion, above all else feeling comfortable and confident in what you wear.

Knowing what your body shape is and choosing clothing to suit your shape will make all the difference. Others will see that something has changed in you…yes your confident, body language and self-esteem has gone up! You look great and others will want to know what you have done.

Once you understand the guidelines for your body shape you begin to choose only clothing that will show off your best features and hid the features you dislike.

As women, we tend to stand in front of the mirror and only focus on the features we do not like. e.g. my bum is big or my big thighs. We do not stop and look at our positive features like…my small waist, great legs, fantastic smile, and great eyes. As women, we are worried about the ads in magazines and comparing ourselves to the latest model or movie star.

In looking at body shapes, I thought I would ask men what they liked and the majority of men love women with curves whether that is the curve of a bottom, breast or waist. Men in Japan love the curve of a women’s neck so remember every man is different.

Remember girl’s men don’t think like us, and if you’re going to talk about what you don’t like about your body talk to your girlfriends, not your man as he doesn’t see things the way you do.

Women have curves. Yet our fashion magazines are full of thin stick figures showing you the latest fashion. We as women are designed to have curves, they are feminine, sexy and most men prefer women with curves.

So when it comes to looking great, it’s got nothing to do with your size, it’s got all to do with what suits your body shape. Therefore, we are going to have fun in finding out which shape you are. When you know your body shape and with the help of some guidelines, you will find it easier choosing clothing that flattering to your body shape.

Styling is about understanding your body shape and being positive about it and making the most of what you have.
